Feature
The TM-P01 is a newly designed benchtop pneumatic four-pin crimping machine. It is used for the cold-crimping of wires to contacts in electrical connectors. The crimping pliers are designed for standard wires; the contacts are made of a locally annealed copper alloy.
1. This crimping machine utilises a cam-driven mechanism for the crimping operation. The force is transmitted from the force-multiplying cylinder to the crimping handle; four cams within the cavity at the head of the handle then transmit this force to the four crimping blocks. The crimping blocks perform centripetal linear motion, with the crimping teeth at their front ends pressing against the contact elements to complete the crimping of the wire to the contact elements. The coordinated forward and backward movement of the four crimping blocks ensures a consistent depth of crimp, reliably guaranteeing the quality of the crimping between the wire and the contact.
2. This crimping machine incorporates a stroke control mechanism to ensure consistent crimping. If crimping cannot be completed correctly due to insufficient air pressure or an insufficient air supply duration, the crimping blocks will not retract because the mechanical switch for stroke control has not been activated. In this case, the air pressure should be adjusted or the air supply duration increased to allow the crimping blocks to reach the stop position, thereby restoring normal operation. (It is also possible to use the reset switch to reset the machine; however, the crimped terminals must be properly inspected and handled.)
3. This crimping machine is controlled by a lead screw, allowing for continuous adjustment of the crimping diameter. Each 1/4 turn of the adjustment knob changes the crimping diameter by 0.1 mm, enabling accurate, precise and continuous adjustment.
4. This crimping machine is controlled via its own foot pedal, and the working air pressure is regulated by a pressure-reducing and regulating valve. To prevent the machine from failing to retract during continuous crimping due to insufficient air supply, it is recommended that the air pressure be set to 0.6 MPa or above.
